I can still remember

What a dollar used to buy

But 9/11 bankrupt AIG

And the Feds bailed them out without a fee

Now local taxes are on the rise

I see their reasoning as large lies

 

I can't remember if I cried

When my retirement plans did die

But who talked me into that sly
